Estate 2005. Alcuni membri delle metal bands fiorentine Electric Fluid e Holy Sinner si uniscono al cantante Stefano Senesi per creare i Renegade. Questi propongono un classico hard n’ heavy di matrice anni 80’ con forti influenze zeppeliniane. Il songwriting è molto veloce e nel giro di poco tempo viene dato alla luce l’album Too Hard to Die, lavoro contenente 11 brani, molto istintivo, passionale e carico di momenti epici. Contrariamente alla tendenza generale, i Renegade non amano confondersi con l’attuale scena heavy metal e rivendicano il vero senso del genere basato sulla semplicità, la naturalezza e la libertà. Infatti, svincolati da ogni preconcetto, riesumano dall’oblio generale accordature particolari, e “altro” che esula totalmente dai canoni attuali dell’heavy. I Renegade stanno iniziando a promuovere le loro attività consapevoli delle avversità che incontreranno nel loro cammino. Nessuna drum machine, nessuna deviante modernità. Solo sudore e sincerità. Già il profetico singer ad inizio anni 90’ aveva compreso la direzione discendente di un genere che fino ad allora era totalmente – o quasi – scevro dai complessi marchingegni e dalle raccapriccianti trovate effettistiche attualmente in uso. Sono gli inevitabili segni dei tempi, prove alle quali i Renegade cercano di opporsi, o almeno tentano di non farsi trascinare nel movimento.

During the Summer of the year 2005. Some members of Electric Fluid and Holy Sinner, two metal bands from Florence, met the singer Stefano
Senesi and created Renegade. These guys play classic hard n' heavy of the 80es with strong Zeppelin influences. The songwriting is very fast and quickly they recorded Too Hard to Die, their first work as a band, including 11 tracks of pure passion, instinct and epic dramatic moments. Differently from the present heavy metal scene, Renegade claim the original meaning of rock, based on simplicity, spontaneity and freedom. In fact, they exhume from the general oblivion, alternative tunings and other things, totally different from modern heavy-metal. Renegade are daring to promote their music and activities even though they are very well aware of the general hostility that they will meet on their path. Their music contains no drum machines and no deviant modernity. Their prophetical singer, in the early 90es, had already predicted the decline of this kind of music, that until that time, was free – in part – from the complex technologies and effects of today. These are the inevitable signs of time, signs that Renagade try to oppose or just try to not to be totally involved in.
